The road test

We tried long and deeply this bike on roads that have gone from high road to really disjointed, with a small bet on the white road. Just riding assumes a normal position and the feeling of confidence is remarkable. After walking seems to have been a lifetime. Keo pedals have a good hook and a great base of support. At the maximum voltage coupling really consistent, but for beginners or for turist cyclists council to regulate the strength of coupling to a minimum: it is easier and quicker release the shoe and pedal anchor remains safe. The handlebar grip is natural and comfortable, but those with smaller hands (say the measure down M) will have some difficulty in forging good handlebars. For the latter, I would recommend taking a regular turn round. The grip is low suitable for all and ergonomic curve ensures an ideal. The tape series integrates well with the width of the bicycle, and ensures a safe and comfortable, even if we would have preferred a more rugged fur to the touch, so as to ensure an even more secure (especially thinking of the summer periods where sweating is greater). Even commands Campagnolo Chorus present an excellent ergonomics, with the possibility of scaling or increase more marches in a single motion. This option is very useful when dealing reaching a rapid ascent from a descent (and vice versa), and in general all those occasions when there is a remarkable and rapid change in altitude or pace of race. Again those who have big hands will find great advantage: with small hands, in fact, often are unable to exploit its full potential of the system, since the trip lever, reduced to a single gear change, it becomes remarkable when you want to change more than two reports with a single movement. The saddle Selle Italia SLK presents, at first sight, an unexpected comfort. On the move shows the great comfort of this bicycle. Technicians Viner have no doubt centered the goal of obtaining a bike comfortable over long distances and the disconnected. The frame can filter so remarkable all the roughness asphalt and this is also for the fork. The monocoque seat helps further the work of the frame, and at the saddle and back arrive very few repercussions, very mitigated and  padded. More rigid, however, the behavior of the attack and the bends. Do you feel that these components are more rigid and less filter blows: a pity, because the fork, however, works very well. It is hard but can absorb the disconnections good soil. At this valuable behavior on disconnected contribute, without doubt, the shares of cycling frame, really guessed. Stability is, in fact, exemplary and even at high speed the sense of security and control is always present. In the long descents technical bike runs fast and secure trajectories with surgical precision. Above all, then, where the asphalt is ruined, the supremacy of this frame emerges. You can go fast with maximum safety, with inputs cornering not fulminant but gradual and safe. Once the bike path follows safely, even if on disconnected without abnormal behaviour, almost as go on a track, so you can soon sow all, with confidence and ease. The sensitivity to lateral wind is never excessive and with a little effort you can keep the right trajectory. With this framework it is easy to stay in the saddle for hours with a comfort unknown to the competitors (all, then, without resorting to frame solutions extravagant). Lots of convenience must not think of a frame "outermost": responsiveness is excellent, but always balanced and gradual. The bike, reviving action on the pedals, it is always very little breaks, but is a long way anyway. It has, in short, that nervous behavior of other bike and this could mislead. It seems, in short, just reactive, but it is only a sensation due excellent stability and directionality of the chassis: a value and not a defect. Compared to the chassis reputation for being super hard, if there are these differences should be minimal and really not evaluable in common. Furthermore, if a frame is not "even" drive would not have been used by the team Miche. By contrast, the apparent comfort, especially after many hours in the saddle, when compared with other bicycles was still perfectly relaxed. In uphill the bike runs fast and is easy to go a long way standing on the pedals. On climbs appear even the behaviour of Fulcrum Racing 1, really light and sliding. In these conditions is easy to get up on the pedals with a ergonomics of the command almost perfect: it is easy to move from one relationship to a great little more difficult to make the step reverse, because the lever of command is somewhat most backward. In plain, with the classic belly on the ground, namely with their hands on the low hold, the bike is fast and ergonomics command is perfect to increase that to climb the marches. The lightness of the bike, already appreciated in height, is reflected positively even in these circumstances, where it is easy to reach high speeds or raise the rhythm in out of saddle. On undulating ground then it is a pleasure to get up in the saddle to overcome an off without scaling relationship. In this, in addition to the lightness and responsiveness of the frame, also contribute much wheels. The Fulcrum Racing 1 showed during the test all their goodness. Safe and reliable, show good glide and weight really helps content changes in rhythm and uphill, where their response is always excellent. In nearly 1,000 km, most of them on roads not in good condition, no problems whatsoever, maintaining his excellent centering in the right voltage rays as well, do not suffer much wind side. The sides corrected also help the work of improving the modulated brakes. A pair of good wheels. The Schwalbe Stelvio 700x23 tyres inflated to the maximum allowed (10 bar) showed a fluency: by running on secure, while the slick profile practically requires some attention on wet. In this case it is advisable to reduce the pressure 6 bar, in order to find the maximum confidence and security at the expense of a wire rolling. They are very good tyres, suitable for everyday use and intensively to 360 degrees. The Skeleton Campagnolo brakes play their excellent work: strong and resistant to fatigue. The front brake is great for power and modulability; the rear needs to be more juice for power decelated. This is a behavior from the same Campagnolo wanted to avoid jamming the rear side. The neophyte will find ample benefits from this system but, perhaps, most experts would have preferred a more responsive command. By contrast, in wet conditions all appreciate this modular back. Even in the long descent, overwhelmingly repeatedly called into question, have never betrayed expectations, providing safe and modular deceleration. Even in the wet their behavior is always excellent result. The exchange and derailleur are fault-tolerant. Several times have never abused wrong, even in the most disparate crossings or changing one or more marches with the chain strong shot. The controls are fluid and changing ratio of a need for excessive effort. The transition from one to another relationship is fluid, fast and silent. Only with the latest reports, changing without alleviate the coup pedal, it appears more noise and less fluidity of change, but it is a behavior that is the limit (and perhaps beyond) of the exchange. The derailleur has the same qualities and useful exchange rate is the ability to move in three intermediate positions, before changing statment, in order to prevent crossings maximum chain smears against the derailleur. The crank Ultra-Torque has put on display all his skills rigidity and its compact, which allows the shoes to run close to the frame, in a prime position from the viewpoint of biomechanics of the pedal. Finally, the seat SLK has proved the ideal choice for this bike: even after many hours comfort remains high and no pain on intimate parts, primarily perineum.
