RAAM- New Awards

In the last days were announced 6 new awards to be available in 2010 - three Challenge Cups (Armed Forces, Bike Club and Collegiate) and the Pete Penseyres, Seana Hogan and Lee Mitchell Awards.

There will be two more special awards - King of the Mountains and King of the Prairies.  King of the Mountains will be awarded to the best climber.  We plan to select several Time Station-to-Time Station segments which involve extraordinary amounts of climbing and the solo racer with the fastest average speed over those sections will be the winner.  King of the Prairies will be awarded to the fastest solo racer on the flats.  Again, we will select several Time Station-to-Time Station segments, this time involving unusually flat terrain and the solo racer with the fastest average speed over those sections will be the winner. The specific segments will be announced as we get closer to the 2010 Race.
