The new frame Trek Madone 6.9 is totally new and stands as one of the lighter products currently on the market, thanks to a declared weight of just over 800 grams. To achieve this, the frame has been completely revised and is made with a carbon developed by Trek and called SSL Technology. This carbon has better mechanical properties than those used so far, both in terms of rigidity and flexibility. The carbon fiber is made and then layered with a special production process so as to minimize air bubbles between the layers of carbon fiber, this method of execution was called OCLV2. Recall that the air bubbles formed during the drying process of the resins and carbon are a major problem in construction of carbon frames. In fact, their training completely changes the structural characteristics of the building itself, affect the performance. The elimination or reduction to a minimum of air bubbles provides a better match between the project and the finished product. This allows engineers to design more freely and safely frame, be able to have a lower weight and greater rigidity due to better quality real carbon fiber. Another special feature of the new Trek Madone SSL 6.9, and also of all the 6 Series range, is the realization of three different geometries of the frame, are called H1, H2 and H3. Attitude change in different geometries in the saddle with the bust which can be very relaxed (H1), for the best aerodynamic performance, in a compromise position (H2), or with the body more elevated (H3) to improve the comfort the expense of absolute performance. The new frame also has a very long vertical pipe, to obtain a semi-integrated seat post, to improve the rigidity of the area and reduce weight. New series of separate steering bearing 1 inch and 1/2 and 1 inch and 1/8. To this is coupled with a new fork called E2 asymmetry, whose special feature is the asymmetric shape of his head, to better withstand the different stresses. The fork legs are semi straight. New is the central movement, over size, and with a BB90 standard, developed by Trek and has less weight, greater smoothness and stiffness than the conventional standard. The cables run inside. New is also the DuoTrap sensor, integrated into the frame and invisible, revealing speed, cadence and distance is compatible with the main measurement tools available today. Seven sizes available, and eight different assemblages. We report also the generous section of the tube, rearstay compact and devoid of a large section of the tubes, a large section of the tube and the perfect conjunction of the tube with the vertical pipe and seatstey tube. The bike can be assembled with Shimano Dura Ace and Ultegra groups or Sram Force. Photos are also faith in a special edition Lance Replica, assembled with the SRAM Red group and high-profile carbon wheels. In all cases the group has adopted in its entirety. The wheels and the remaining components are Bontrager. In the Dura Ace version, in addition to the complete group, the bike is equipped with stem, seatpost and handlebar Bontrager carbon, Bontrager saddle and Bontrager wheels. Two versions with traditional or compact crankset that are associated with two different cassette sprockets: 11-25 (traditional) and 11-28 (compact). The frame will cost about 3000 Euro, while the Dura Ace bike assembled at a cost of about 8000 Euro. A great bike, very light and with the interesting choice of three different geometries. Competitive cost of the kit frame, while more normal cost of the bikes assembled, however, appropriate to the technical characteristics of the bike. A model of high performance, among the best ever, which will satisfy the agonist, but also the lover who can choose the geometry H3 and compact crankset with 11-28 sprocket set for a comfortable fit from a bike, not extreme and with short reports that will facilitate the most difficult climbs.
