The new model 101 XC Wilier proudly presents a monocoque frame with integrated seatpost completely new. The frame is made with a mix of high modulus carbon T60, T46 and T30 and features a very short head tube and a horizontally accentuated by the sloping. The tube has a series of stiffening ribs and joins the bottom bracket to an area well-sized. The rear has a generous diameter tubes, that are combined with those high above the rear wheel in a single structure, which in turn joins the tube, according to a design similar to what was seen on 101 Superleggera. The seatpost is integrated. The frame is offered in four different sizes, the only white-red. It has a declared weight of 1240 grams. The bike is available in different assemblies and the frame kit only. At the top are assembled version Sram XX, with the group adopted the full range Sram XX and wheels Ritchey WCS Carbon. Also the micro Ritchey seatpost, handlebar and stem. The saddle is custom Wilier. A bike is not light, but very stiff and responsive. Not meet the favor of those who want a lightweight bike at any cost and, at least in weight promises far from a Scott 899. But the frame is very rigid and with good geometry. A bike that gives its best on flat tracks and fast, where the rigidity of the frame is invoked. Excellent assemblies proposed construction and care with which the bike is done. The frame kit is priced at about Euro 1800, the group bike with Sram XX and WCS Carbon wheels will cost about 5600 Euro, prices are in the high-end market, justified by the build quality, but superior to other models light, which can ultimately be best for the enthusiast who wants a light bike. The new XC 101 Wilier, not a light bike, but a competitive model on many tracks and really quality. Perhaps, rather than an agonist, met the favor of the fan who wants a high level of Mtb bike, also qualitatively, not interested in the absolute minimum weight, but more to the objective quality of the product, reliability and longevity of the bike aspects in which this Wilier 101 XC stands for sure.
