Two main novelties from Wilier Triestina in 2010: 101 Superleggera and Imperiale.

 About the first we have already spoken in the past, we recall that the basis of known and award winning 101 was done by a careful re-examination of the model. With an increase in the quality of carbon used (according to points 46 and 60 Ton) has managed to save 130 grams on the weight of the frame, while maintaining the reliability and increasing, however, the rigidity of the chassis. Review the bottom bracket, now lighter, and the series of steering, now housing bearing carbon. Confirmed integrated seatpost. All this has led to a weight of 920 grams for the frame and 360 grams for the the fork. Imperiale, however, is an entirely new model in which have studied carefully the aerodynamics. With the advice of John Cobb, one of the most famous specialists, have been created forms of pipes that can be offered less resistance to wind. Thus was born the new fork dedicated the new profile of the headstock and shaping of the bottom bracket. A series of ribs help to increase the rigidity of the chassis. This remains monocoque, like the 101. Change the rear, no more asymmetric, while still the integrated seatpost part of the bottom bracket and reach the saddle without interruption; the tube, of course, has aerodynamic profile. The new frame weighs 1130 grams, while the fork 360 grams.
