Wilier waiting for the official debut noted additional technical details of the new model Zero.7.

The new tapered headset has bearings 1" 1/8 and 1" 1/4, but outside the differentiation of the two diameters is not particularly strong, so Wilier claims to have achieved an optimal balance between stiffness, maneuverability of the bicycle, the lightness and comfort. The new bottom bracket BB386EVO is longer than the average (86.5 mm), has a larger diameter (46 mm) to host a carbon crankset with a 30 mm aluminum pin. It was found that BB386EVO increases stiffness by 30% and reduces to zero the dispersion of force during cycling. It is also compatible with all standards of the traditional type on the market. Another peculiarity of the construction of the frame, exclusive of Wilier Triestina is the use of a new compound named S.E.I Film (Special Elastic Infiltrated). The inclusion of material from a secret formula between layers of carbon increases the absorption of vibration and impact resistance. The frame is therefore safer and more comfortable. But even more lightweight: with six films, in fact, you can obtain the highest mechanical properties with less use of composite. The frame takes the mix of carbon used successfully on Cento1 SL model, and uses carbon fibers with different specificities, including MR60H, with an elastic modulus of 60 tons per square millimeter. The compactness of the carbon composite and its impact resistance is increased by incorporating in the epoxy resin nanoparticles of zinc oxide (ZnO). In addition, the frame Zero.7, like Cento1 SL, is realized with the construction technique LIT (Large Inflatable Tube), which compacts the fibers against the mold walls making absolutely uniform thicknesses of carbon. The weight of a painted frame falls below the threshold of 800 grams (795 gr. Size M).
