Alessandro Petacchi has provided a frame made especially for him. Derived directly from the 101 Superleggera, it follows the geometric dimensions but differs from the type of carbon used for its realization. Exactly, as reported by the technicians of the team, change the plot of carbon and the percentage of different types of carbon used in 101 Superleggera, certainly with a greater presence of carbon T60 at the expense of carbon T46 and T30. The other technical features of the frame, then, remain the same as 101 Superleggera. Aesthetically, Alessandro Petacchi’s frame is recognizable by the carbon surface texture different from 101 Superleggera used by other athletes and regular on sale. The new frame will ensure greater rigidity, but at the expense of a slight increase in weight. The bike of Alessandro, then, does not differ much from other bikes of Team Lampre-Farnese Vini. The bike is assembled with Campagnolo Record used completely with commands, front and rear derailleur, crank, sprocket, chain and brakes. The bottom bracket bearings are in ceramic. Stem and handlebar are Ritchey WCS series triple butted aluminum, the ciclo computer is the new Garmin 500. The pedals are Look Keo 2 Max White, while the micro seatpost is always Ritchey WCS and the saddle is a San Marco Regal Carbon FX. Alessandro is the only athlete in the team to use this saddle. The wheels are Fulcrum, on photo we see the model Racing Speed XLR high profile, with hubs in carbon and ceramic bearings. The tubulars are the classic Vittoria Corsa CX while the bottle cage are Tacx.
