After the road test here a direct comparison between the two bikes Bianchi Methanol and Orbea Alma.
Weight The two bikes have a weight nearly coincident. The Orbea has a weight of 8.8kg, while the Bianchi has a weight of 8.9kg. The components are similar, Bianchi take the extra appendages and the bottle cage, not on the Orbea. A slight advantage, however, goes to the Spanish bike.
Design features Both bikes are perfectly realized. The Orbea looks better for the adoption of the full Sram XX. The Bianchi suffers from a mix of perhaps excessive. The assembly is cured in both bikes, as well as the painting is perfect. In Bianchi missing pedals, bottle cage missing on Orbea. The value for money of the two bikes is to break even, while for the absolute quality Orbea is slightly higher.
Buoyancy in the saddle The positions are similar, torso tilted forward to challenge the wide handlebars. Bianchi take the useful adjuncts, not present on Orbea. The Spanish bike saddle (Selle Italia) is more comfortable and provides better relief of perineal saddle Fi'zi:k taken on the Bianchi. The fluidity of the commands Orbea is better than that of Bianchi (because of the different cables) .. The ergonomics of the controls is the same as the functionality of the forks.
