Bianchi and Paul Solon across Europe

A Bianchi bike is about to start an exciting ride across Europe. It is not an official competition, nor a special training session. It is a solo-race that will see American lawyer Paul Solon facing a long-distance ride from Cape North – Norway, to Palermo - Sicily, Southern Italy, within July.

Mr Solon is used to perform races like this as he already accomplished the Race Across America from

Los Angeles to New York and the San Francisco to Los Angeles race, to name a few.

Italian bike manufacturer company Bianchi is proud sponsor of Paul Solon as he has been supplied with two C2C Carbon frame sets. “My new Bianchi is the definitely the best bike I’ve ever had”, Mr Solon Stated. “I can’t wait for the race to begin: I have a solid year of training under my belt and I fell ready for this new challenging adventure”, he added.

The Cape North-Palermo race will take the solo racer about 12 days with 19 hours riding per day. After the start in Norway he will head to Sweden, then Denmark, continuing across Germany and Austria. Then he will climb the Alps and Passo Brennero pedalling towards Sicily across Verona, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples and Reggio Calabria. A 6-man team staff will support Paul Solon during his effort with food, beverage and mechanical assistance.

As part of his ambitious project, Paul Solon will repeat the Passo Brennero-Palermo course a few weeks after the end of the first race.
