The new Bianchi Impulso 2012 is a model that introduces a new full set of technical innovation in the completion of the frame in the future that surely will be overtaken by other competing manufacturers. The new aluminium frame is positioned between the Bianchi Model Via Nirone 7 and Infinito, and within the range of C2C, bikes for the long runs with a geometry designed for maximum comfort. The frame is made of aluminium A4 and 6061 triple butted hydroformed. The head tube and top tube are welded together and then hydroformed. This allows the area to have a surface quality significantly higher than the traditional welding system, are also optimized the thickness and shape of the pipes, allowing considerable savings in weight while in the face of improved rigidity. From the aesthetic point of view this solution allows for a seamless aluminium frame and a view of the shape and surface similar to a carbon fiber frame. Unfortunately, the high production costs have limited the application of this technique of building only the head tube and horizontally, while the other parties to follow the normal assembly process, and subsequent hydroforming and welding. The geometry of the frame following the C2C models, so with a greater distance between the wheels for increased stability, a shorter top tube, in order to have a more comfortable seat, and Kevlar inserts on the fork. Nine sizes available (44-46-50-53-55-57-59-61-63). The head tube bearings has classic 1 inch and 1/8. The fork is specific to this model, aluminium and carbon, with 1k Kevlar inserts which allow for better shock absorption. The tube section has a complex flat and wide, as well as a slightly curved profile. The tube is a good size, and the cables run outside. The bottom bracket has standard classics, just like the classic vertical tube houses the seat of 31.6 mm. Very unique rear triangle. All hydroformed shows the horizontal pipe section from the narrow and high. This section is characteristic of Bianchi and allows a good absorption of vibration without reducing the lateral stiffness. The tubes also have a section of high complex, but contained, and even this feature allows whites and a good shock absorption. The tubes remain separate until it joins the top tube. The classic bridge allows the fixing of the rear brake. The frame weighs about 1500 grams in size 55, will be available as a frame kit and assembled like a bike with Shimano Ultegra and 105 groups; Campagnolo Veloce. In all three cases, the FSA crankset will OmegaExo, with stem, handlebar and seatpost FSA aluminum custom Bianchi Reparto Corse; Bianchi Reparto Corse always FSA brakes. The wheels are Reparto Corse RX 5.1 by Maddux (Ultegra) or assembled from components Mich (Veloce) or Joytech (105). Shortly the first ride impressions.
