Team BMC for time trials has the bike BMC TT01 Time Machine, or simply BMC TT01. All athletes have the same frames and common components. Various bike differ only in some customizations, such as saddles. The TT01 frame is made entirely in Switzerland and tailored for each athlete is different in the thickness of the tubes and, obviously, in the measures. The fork has flat stems and aerodynamic, beside the areo-bar integrated and partially controlled by an eccentric. This solution is made possible by custom-made frame and fork. The areo-bar is Vision, as well as brake controls. The down tube has a streamlined profile and a large section, as well as generous section is the tube that joins the short head tube with a reinforced frame that joins the tube. Always large and aerodynamic profile is the vertical tube and the seatpost. The bottom bracket is super sized, as well as a large cross section of the rear tubes, are very short. The cables run inside, while the brakes are placed in the traditional position: in front of the fork, above the rear wheel. The Cadel Evans' bike is completed with a saddle Selle Italia Optima, carbon fiber with bottle cage integrated and specific to time trial. Interestingly, Cadel then uses a normal Elite Carbon bottle cage, model Time Trial, again specific time trial. Other athletes in the team, however, use other saddles, always associated with bottle cage Elite, which means that Cadel appreciate Optima saddle, but not its integrated bottle cage, who do not actually use. The group has adopted the Campagnolo Record, specifically for time trial, 10 speed (controls, brakes, front and rear derailleur, sprocket and chain), while the crank is fully carbon fiber and aerodynamic outer ring. Speedplay Pedals, while the wheels are Aeston, lenticular rear and high profile front. The tubolars are Continental. Currently, having also made exclusively tailored, one of the best bike time trial, finished and cured in every detail and with a frame, according to athletes, very rigid.
