BicyclesPro bikes: BMC SLR01 Team BMC Racing Team
Many athletes of Team BMC Racing Team use the new bike SLR01, also including Cadel Evans and Alessandro Ballan. The new SLR01 frame is a carbon monocoque high modulus. The bottom bracket adopts BB30 standard, while the headset is tapered with bearing 1 inch and 1/8 and 1 inch and ½. The bearing housing is made in carbon fiber, as well as the dropouts. New fork, carbon fiber monocoque, with legs straight and weighing 315 grams. The frame has a large oblique tube and a top tube that joins the seat tube in two places and a very compact rear triangle. The chainstays tubes are large, while the seatstays tubes, also of the rear triangle, are more refined and very slanted. The special shape of the stems of the fork and rear triangle provides a good ride comfort (vertical flexibility) without affecting the performance (torsional stiffness). Particular section of the vertical pipe that adopts a specific seatpost very light and capable of ensuring a high comfort. The new frame weighs about 860 grams in average size. The bike is then assembled as a model Impec, Dura Ace Di2 adopted for controls, brakes, sprocket, chain, front and rear derailleur. The battery is placed under the oblique tube. The crank is equipped with SRM power sensor. Pedals are SpeedPlay but we see pictures of Dura Ace pedals, used by Alessandro Ballan. The saddle Fi'zi: k. Stems and handlebar are Easton aluminum. Always Easton carbon fiber wheels, Easton choices in the catalogue according to the preferences of athletes and race conditions. Elite bottle cage. A very accurate and well finished bike, at the UCI minimum weight limit of 6.8kg, preferred by captains Ballan and Evans that until now have preferred to model Impec, for weight and rigidity.
