BicyclesPro Bike: Brent Bookwalter's BMC SLC01 Team BMC
The BMC team bike athletes are offered a slightly different bike from the masters, Cadel Evans, George Hincapie, Alessandro Ballan, the frame remains the BMC SLC01, used by captains, George Hincapie apart, and made entirely of carbon fiber with unidirectional Nano Technology with the pipes leading from the square section of the frame. The down tube has several stiffening ribs and the internal cable. The head tube is short, with conventional bearings 1 inch and 1/8. The top tube is flattened and wide and is divided into two parts near the pipe, some runs straight to join the same pipe, the other turns down joining the rear. The bracket is particularly dimensioned and stiffened by reinforcing media that leave the down tube and seat tube. The tubes are ups and downs of the cart heavy, especially near the bottom bracket, even those highs are heavier, are united in a box structure after the passage of the wheel and then embrace the vertical tube in two places: above the top of the same and just below the lower part of joining the top tube. The fork is an Easton EC90SLX carbon monocoque. The bike of Brent and other athletes in the team is then assembled with full Campagnolo Record group with controls, rear and front derailleur, brakes, sprocket, chain and crankset. The pedals are always Speedplay. The seatpost is always Easton EC70 carbon fiber with alloy head and the saddle is a Selle Italia, chosen according to preferences of the athlete. The stem is an Easton EA90 and handlebar Easton EC90 more. The wheels are always Easton available with tubular Continental. The bottle cage are Elite. So assembled, the bike is slightly heavier than the captains, with a weight value between 50 and 100 grams real, although still a good bike and aligned with the competition. A bike care and well finished and with a good assembly.
