Athletes of Team Omega Pharma-Lotto continue to use the bike Canyon SpeedMax CT Pro F10, already in use since last season. This season, however, all athletes are using the F10 model, with carbon fiber monocoque frame, and there are more athletes who use the heaviest F8 model, with an aluminum frame. The frame Canyon SpeedMax CF Pro F10 is a monocoque carbon. The head tube is very short and with the headset 1 inch and 1/8, the aero fork have carbon fiber dropouts. The front brake is located in a classic, as well as the rear, both at a less aerodynamic and now obsolete. The tube has an aerodynamic profile and a large cross section, with an oversized bottom bracket area, the wiring is internal. The top tube is pinched off and joins the large and well-profile aero seat tube that extends posteriorly to join the rear triangle and square tubes made of high section. The seatpost is dedicated and allows a significant advancement of the saddle, not fully exploited by athletes to remain within the limits imposed by the UCI regulations. The saddle is a regular saddle Selle Italia Team Edition, but some athletes use also handmade saddles, made by team and covered with a cover Selle Italy, a saddle with shorter and a bit more to improve the upholstered seat in advance and allow improvements an efficient pedalling. No athlete uses Selle Italia specifications for the time trial. The aero-bar Ritchey. The bike is then assembled with the Campagnolo Record 10v, specifically for time trial bikes, with 10 speeds, a group that could be called ancient, fortunately, now updated, but it was not until 2012 to see it adopted by the team. The brake levers are TRP, since they are not available in the Campagnolo 2011 (it will be in 2012). The wheels are Mavic, lenticular rear and high-profile or three-spoke carbon fiber; tubular are Continental. The pedals are Look Keo Carbon Aero Blade, specifically for time trial bikes. The Tacx bottle cage is, if not in this picture. A decent bike, but nothing more. The frame is good for its rigidity, but suffers from a reduced aerodynamic research, especially when compared with the latest models of competition, it is time to propose a series evolution of this model. The assembly provides very valuable items such as wheels or pedals, Campagnolo group is absolutely ineffective, unfortunately only from next season they will reach the new components. In conclusion, a good bike, but today far from the best, competition is fierce and excellent bike last year may no longer be considered the height of the best cycling time trial.
