Three major innovations of the range by Cannondale Mtb: Scalpel, Jekyll and Flash29''.
All new Scalpel frame, lighter than 350 grams and is now credited with a weight of 1,565 grams (frame and fork). Remains the achievement zero-pivot, allowing us to use the elasticity of carbon fiber to make the floating rear eliminating bearings and pins. The new rear stay has been completely redesigned, however, like the frame that uses many of the manufacturing technologies developed for the frame SuperSix. Many parts are aluminum, such as dropouts or pins to fix the brakes. This solution, albeit heavier, was considered more reliable by Cannondale. Remains the BB30 bottom bracket. The Lefty fork has a travel of 100 mm reduction to 80 by the rear suspension. The bike will be offered in 4 different blends: Scalpel Ultimate (8.4 kg) and group XX 2x10 SRAM, Fork Lefty Speed Carbon SL crankset Hollowgram and wheels DT Swiss XCR 1.2 (cost about 9,500 U.S. dollars); Scalpel 1 (9kg, cost 7199 dollars) with Lefty Speed Carbon SL fork and Shimano XTR Dyna-Sys, with crank FSA SL-K 386, brakes Magura Marta SL and Mavic Crossmax SLR wheels; Scalpel 2 (5099 Dollars) Fork Lefty Speed and group X9/XO SRAM, FSA Afterburner 386 BB30cranks, brake Avid Elixir CR Carbon; Scalpel 3 (3949 Dollars) Shimano SLX / XT crankset FSA Afterburner BB30 386 and brake Avid Elixir R
Return new model Jekyll, an All-Mountain 150 mm of travel. A bike is described as very effective uphill as downhill. A feature of this bike is an innovative shock developed together with Fox Racing Shox, consisting of two independent units working together. This made it possible to separate the various settings allowing greater customization of the shock and its greater effectiveness in all conditions of use. This solution also enables a more effective regulation of the travel of the suspension. With each bike will be given a special air pump that requires a pressure of around 300-400psi. The new damper has a weight of 560 grams. The new carbon monocoque frame is high modulus, with a generous range of steering 1 inch and 1/2. Also very refined suspension rods in carbon and aluminum. The same frame is also offered in aluminum. The new model is offered in three frame assemblies with three carbon and aluminum frame. Ultimate Jekyll (7999 Dollars, 11.5kg) with SRAM group XX 2x10, crank Hollowgram BB30 SL, Avid brakes X0; Jekyll Carbon 1 (5349 Dollars, 12.1kg), Shimano XT / XTR 3x10, BB30 crankset FSA SL-K, brake Avid Elixir CR Carbon; Jekyll Carbon 2 (4249 Dollars, 12.2kg) with group X-7/X-9 3x10 SRAM; crankset FSA Afterburner BB30; 3 Jekyll (4049 Dollars, 13.3kg), group 3x10 Shimano SLX / XT, FSA Afterburner BB30 crankset; Jekyll 4 (3.5499 dollars, 13.8kg) group SRAM X-7/X-9 3x9, Truvativ Firex crankset; Jekyll 5 (2999 Dollars), SRAM X-7 3x9 group. Moreover, the new model will also have a Jekyll-specific version for women called Scarlet.
Finally we have the new 29'' based on Flash frame, specially adapted for 29''wheels and weight of 1,050 grams.
Also for bikes with wheels 29'' is coming of a new model singlespeed with rigid fork.
