Cannondale introduces the new aluminum frame wide range CAAD10, heir to the famous CAAD9. With a weight of 1150 grams for the 56cm frame, the CAAD10 promises to be one of aluminum road frames lighter and weighing less than 200 grams compared to CAAD9. To achieve this result, the frame has been completely revised. How CAAD frames of the past, using pipes CAAD10 conical butted 6061 aluminum to be treated heat to reach the hardness T6. This special process eliminates points of stress inside the pipes of frames processed in a traditional and allows for a stronger frame and very light.

The sheath vertical hourglass has been replaced with lighter, stiffer and more comfortable system SAVE. The blades are oblique and horizontal shaped and have a different thickness to allow a certain level of vertical deflection while remaining very stiff laterally. The sheath of the hand horizontal guide is oversized and designed to withstand the loads from the transmission, while that of the side guide is optimized to reduce its weight. The grand chamber at the main shaft tube improves lateral rigidity.

Compatible with the seat tube from 27.2mm, the seatpost has oval side of the bracket for increased rigidity of the bracket itself. The down tube PowerPyramid has been replaced with an oversized widens significantly near the head tube having a conical section to accommodate the bearings 1-1/8" and 1-1/4".

The fork from 390 grams CAAD10 has unbalanced outs for a greater absorption of forces acting vertically and improved maneuverability. The rigidity of the area of the steerer so increased significantly. The brake bridge is forged and has hollow section. The oval top tube is very wide because of the rigidity, 47.5 x 42 mm at the point where it meets the head tube, but becomes narrower in the middle for a wider gap widens again at the knees and interviews with the obliques sheaths.

The welds are smooth, as tradition Cannondale, review twice, tapered tubes in different thickness, the internal cable and BB30 complete the bike.

The objective was to propose a high-performance aluminum frame and comfortable, but overall performance superior to all mid-range carbon frames. Available sizes are: 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 63.

Will come with the Shimano Dura Ace, 105 and Ultegra.
