Cannondale 2011: SuperX

Cannondale has completely renewed its range of cyclocross. Now the top is the new SuperX. A new carbon fiber frame construction and solid carbon Tube2Tube BallisTec Flash used on coal. New series steering cone 1-1/8" to 1-1/4", with carbon fork.

Technology S.A.V.E. the oblique and horizontal sliders allows a decrease in the vertical direction without compromising lateral stiffness, ensuring a perfect control of the bike. With a weight of just 1400g for the frame and fork (56cm), the frame is very light.

Carbon fibers are used in different points in the chassis so as to have high strength carbon impact in areas most exposed to shock the frame. With the construction Tube2Tube layers of each tube are laid individually, precisely orienting the fibers unidirectional so that they can resist specific loads, so the pipes are joined and "wound" following a definite program. The carbon fibers run uninterrupted for the length of the tube and vertical blades, distributing the load evenly throughout the frame.

The oversized round down tube of 53 mm for maximum torsional stiffness, the toptube with oversize horizontal section for lateral stiffness and deformity Delta seat tube for maximum stiffness in the bottom bracket, are other features of this model.

BB30 is the bracket, while the chassis was designed to leave SuperX more tolerant in case of mud.

Available sizes are: 44, 48, 52, 54, 56, 58; will be offered with Sram Red and Shimano Ultegra.
