For 2011, Cannondale has expanded its range of Flash, which in addition to its collection by 26-inch wheels, has added two new models with 29 inch wheels, the model Flash Carbon 1 29er and model Flash Carbon 3 29er. The difference between the two models is different in the assembly. The new frame is always based on the traditional model Flash Hi Mod, which is updated every bicycle in the quotas and size to accommodate the new 29-inch wheels. The frame weight of just 100 grams increases, reaching a value of 1050 grams, the lightest frames with 29 inch wheels. There is, obviously, the mix of carbon fiber, medium, high and very high form, the BB30 bottom bracket, the Lefty fork and the rearstay S.A.V.E. We remember the other characteristics of the frame Cannondale Flash, as the front derailleur that is attached directly to the frame to reduce weight and the diameter of 27.2 mm seatpost, again to reduce weight compared to the usual 31.6 mm. Confirmed the Superlight crankset Hollowgram SL, one of the lightest cranksets on the market, the lightest according to the statements of Cannondale. The controls, brakes and rear derailleur are SRAM X0, while the front derailleur is SRAM X9. The KMC chain. The wheels are assembled with DT Swiss hubs and supplemented with Schwalbe tires. So assembled, the bike has a weight of 9.6 kg in size M, without pedals. A bike very competitive, currently among the best 29-inch wheels with Mtb. Heavier than the similar version with 26-inch wheels, fall behind and uphill trails and guided very slow, but it's best downhill trails and very fast, where the average speed remains constant rise and, in the tracks with fast corners, which provides excellent stability and steering precision, with a high speed exit of turn. As previously mentioned, with the 29er, the type of location can make these bikes are winners and disappointing. Overall a great bike, the most competitive among the 29 inches. Available in three sizes: M, L, XL. The price is about Euro 4999, high, but proportionate to the technical qualities of the bike and its performance.
