Cannondale has completely renewed its all-mountain bike, replacing the previous model Moto with the new Claymore. All new chassis that has a head seat by 1 inch and 1/2 and an area of over-sized steering for maximum stiffness possible. The tube section has a complex and seven different thicknesses, so as to ensure maximum stiffness to weight ratio. The bottom bracket uses the classic standard BB30. The Clashnikov top tube has a flared at the junction of the column and is at the oversized head tube. The rear suspension uses a new shock with Dyad technology, developed by Fox and Cannondale. With a lever on the handlebar you can choose between a shock characterized by a lower volume of air, land more suitable for compact and fast, or a shock with a greater volume of air, for the most demanding situations. The change also affects the geometry setup of the bike and allows to keep an optimal position of the rider to the ground, is also the possibility to mount the shock at two different positions, so as to further customize the frame geometry to fit the their driving style. In Flow position shock allows a travel of 180 mm, while in the Elevate position down to 110 mm travel. Moving from one location to another on the bottom bracket height varies from about 1.2 cm and the angle of steering of a degree. The shock is positioned just above the bottom bracket to keep the center of gravity low, so make the bike stable and highly reactive at the same time. In addition, this position has been chosen to concentrate forces in the most resistant frame. All tight linkage damper using through pins on both sides, bearing seats and oversized double bearings in the area of the rear dropouts, so as to increase rigidity and reliability of the suspension. Interesting the axis of the front wheel, 20 mm, and the rear wheel 12 mm and 142 mm in length. Available sizes are S, M, L, XL in three different assemblies. In version Claymore 1 is then assembled the bike with SRAM X9 shiffer, rear derailleur and brakes Sram X0, Shimano SLX front derailleur, Shimano XT cassette sprockets, KMC chain. The crank is FSA Afterburner BB30 386, the astem and handlebar are Syntace. The seatpost is a RockShox Reverb and it has Cannondale saddle. The wheels are Mavic Crossmax SX, complete with Schwalbe tires. The fork is a Fox 36 Talas RC2 FIT, with 180 mm of travel. So assembled, the bike is priced Euro 5500, commensurate with the high quality and performance of the bike. The frame is excellent, as well as very effective rear suspension. Too bad there is raised a mix of components, which does not affect the fictive and the performance of the same, but is not very pleasant to see. An excellent all-mountain bike that is too challenging uphill and downhill perfect.
