Cannondale has advanced the study of a new model of Scalpel: the Scalpel 29er.

The new zero-pivot full with 29 inch wheels. The bike Scalpel model inherits from the monocoque frame in carbon fiber high modulus, the Zero-pivot rear suspension, headset 1 inch and ½ and BB30 bottom bracket. The travel is 100 mm. The bike will weigh about 9.7kg in size L, while the kit frame, with shock, will weigh about 1900 grams. From the first photo shows a massive redesign of the frame that sees a different top tube, with a steep sloping and a different union to the vertical pipe. Very different even the oblique tube. The bike is sure to be officially presented at the upcoming Eurobike 2011.
