The Cervélo Test Team has available the full range of Canadian bike company. Some athletes have chosen the model R3 SL the lightest frame in the range Cervélo and the lightest ever with its 822 grams weight. The frame is a monocoque structure with the oval section tubes, called Squoval and developed by the same Cervélo frame to reduce weight without reducing the overall stiffness. Five different types of carbon used according to different mechanical and various points of use on the frame. The head tube is fitted with bearings 1 inch and 1/8, is not particularly short and is completed with a 3T Funda Team fork weighing about 330 grams. The down and horizontal tube have not over-size dimensions and join the vertical pipe that houses a seatpost diameter 27.2 mm, 31.6 mm instead of the classics. The central movement is well wrapped, but in this case without striking exaggeration. Very compact and lightweight rearstay, with heavier chain stay and seat stay with senior section and remain separated until the union with the vertical pipe. The frame is available in six different sizes. The bike is then assembled with the SRAM Red group, consisting of controls, rear and front derailleur, brakes, chain and sprocket. The crankset is, however, Rotor, with bottom bracket with ceramic bearings, cranks and CNC machined forged aluminum and crown oval to facilitate the transition to the "dead point". Speedplay Pedals. Stem is 3T, model ARX Team aluminum, while the handlebar is always 3T, model Ergosum Team, but other athletes also used the model Rotundo Team. The seatpost is always 3T, model Doric Team, the saddle is a Fi'zi: k. The bottle cage are Elite. The wheels are Zipp choices in the catalogue, we see in the picture the model 404, complete with Vittoria Corsa Evo CX tubulars. A great bike, very lightweight and accurate.
