BicyclesPro Bike: Andreas Klier's Cervélo S3 Team Cervélo Test Team
The sprinters in the Cervélo Test Team have access to bikes Cervélo S3, a model designed for powerful and fast athletes. The frame is a monocoque structure with tubes from aerodynamic section, the tube is large and visually contrasts with the horizontal, which though large compared to its competitors, remains small compared to the large tube. Good size the head tube with bearings 1 inch and 1/8 and not particularly short, unlike other bikes in this category. The fork is always a 3T Funda Team weighing about 330 grams, already used on other Cervélo models. The central movement is over-sized and perfectly placed in the line of the down tube. Contrasts, however, the rear stay, extremely compact, but with pipes section is not very wide. The chain stay have larger section near the bottom bracket and then become thinner near the dropouts. The seat stay have content section and unite above the rear wheel to support the brake, then join the seat tube from the airfoil, which houses a dedicated seat. The bike is then assembled again with the SRAM Red group, consisting of controls, rear and front derailleur, brakes, chain and sprocket. The crankset is Rotor with bottom bracket with ceramic bearings, cranks and CNC machined forged aluminum crown and oval to facilitate the transition to the "dead point". The pedals are Speedplay. The stem is 3T, model ARX Team aluminum, while the handlebar is always 3T, model Ergosum Team or Rotundo Team, saddle is Fi'zi:k. The bottle cage are Elite. Wheels are Zipp, in the picture we see the model 404, complete with Vittoria Corsa Evo CX tubulars. A very light bike, with a refined aerodynamics and a very rigid frame, perfect for the sprinters.
