One of the new Colnago for 2010 is the renewed model CLX that evolves in the model CLX 2.0. The frame is completely new and evolved than the previous CLX. Monocoque frame remains an unrealized in Italy, as well as final assembly of the bicycle, but evolved with the transition to the new set of steering C-HS 2, the series steering Colnago bearing 1 inch and 1/8. This series is called by Colnago the steering integrated structurally, the main peculiarity is that although it permits the replacement of the integrated set of steering, as in a series is not integrated, with obvious benefits on the reliability and longevity of the frame. The negative aspects can be found in a more constructive complexity, cost and weight slightly higher. The frame and fork are made of carbon fiber Toray to 3k and 12k, which is unidirectional twill, high modulus and high strength according to the different areas of the frame. Horizontal tubes and tube have the reinforcing ribs, which improve the characteristics of stiffness. The top tube is slightly curved, while the area of the head tube is amply sized. The seat stay tubes are slightly arched, while the chain stay tubes are high and low crushed near the bottom bracket and lowest near the wheel axle. The central movement is well proportioned, while the vertical pipe from the classic receives a seat post diameter of 31.6 millimeters. The monocoque fork has straight stems and crushed with a profile that should ensure a good compromise between comfort and stiffness. The bike is proposed in 8 sizes and three colors on a white, black or green. Several assemblies are available, Shimano Dura Ace, Ultegra, Campagnolo Chorus and Athena. Shimano Ultegra version, the group is used for commands, front and rear derailleur, the sprocket and chain. But it is FSA, Team Issue model, the compact crankset, and brakes Colnago. Always the Colnago seatpost and saddle, a Prologo custom Colnago. Always FSA, then the stem and the handlebar. The Fulcrum Racing 5 wheels and Vittoria Rubino Pro tires. The bike thus assembled without the pedals and bottle cage weighs about 8.2 kilograms, the frame only weighs about 1200-1250 grams. The cost of the bike is around 2800 Euro. The new CLX 2.0 is a good evolution of the previous model, a good entry level model in carbon frames, with good dynamic qualities and a good ride comfort. But the price remains high, both in comparison to the weight (too high for the group taken) is taken when some components. The FSA crank, for example, is quite good, but in the specific model adopted on the bike is certainly not the Ultegra 2010 crank, same thing goes for the stem and handlebar, good heavy, but certainly not at the level quality of the group adopted, as it is to criticize the choice not to take the Ultegra brakes. Essentially the same price there are other companies that offer bike assembly of higher quality and a bike that together weigh less, unfortunately do not have the brand Colnago. The blazon of the Company, therefore, has its weight and those who want a Colnago CLX 2.0 will find in this a good choice.
