Thanks to our Nederland reader Roger, we can get more information and photos of the new De Rosa King3 RS 2012.

In fact, the new frame is already on sale in the Netherlands and Roger is, without doubt, one of the fortunate to ride on the new bike, as well as provide an important set of information. The list price of the new frame, at least in the Netherlands, is almost identical to the previous model. The bike that we see in the picture is the standard model, and with monocoque frame. In the 2012 version, the tapered headset, with 1 inch and 1/8 and 1 inch and ½, is standard and not optional as in the past. New internal cable, with a solution already adopted on the De Rosa Merak frame. Standard also new BB30 bottom bracket. Unlike competitors that go towards a reduction in the pipe section, De Rosa, has maintained a generous section of the main triangle tubes, confirmed the integrated seat post and realized a rear triangle very stiff and strong. If you see the integrated carbon fiber dropouts. Also new is the mounting of the front derailleur directly to the vertical pipe, without clam. The bike was then assembled with a Campagnolo Super Record and Campagnolo Shamal Ultra wheels, weighing about 6.8kg, including pedals, but Roger has not yet examined the actual weight of the bike.
