The new frame De Rosa King RS 2012 is the natural evolution of the previous King3 RS, but every detail of the frame has been revised and improved in order to have a lighter and stiffer bike.

The frame is an high modulus carbon monocoque unidirectional, receives a different stratification of the same carbon, a new resin that combines the various layers of carbon and improves the absorption of vibration, a completely new section of pipe, new series of steering bracket, these are the most important changes, but the project can be considered unusual since nothing is in common with the previous model. New is the head tube with bearings in 1 inch and ½ and 1 inch and 1/8 above. The particular shape of the head tube minimizes the sight, the two different diameters. New section of the down tube, with new cables. These come from the front of the head tube and out under the down tube to remain adherent to the same and almost invisible to the eye. This will facilitate maintenance. The top tube is of generous size and houses the internal passage of the rear brake cable. Oversized  the bottom bracket, now BB30. New the attack of the front derailleur, now directly to the vertical pipe. Another new rear triangle with carbon dropouts and far more generous dimensions of the tubes. The new fork has straight stems. The bike is then assembled with the Campagnolo Super Record, which was adopted in full, wheels Campagnolo Bora Ultra Two, stem and handlebar FSA K-Force, saddle Selle Italia SLR. Look standard pedals and bottle cage Elite, custom De Rosa. So assembled, without pedals, the bike has a weight of 6,400 kg.
