Team Garmin-Transitions take, also this year, frame Felt F1 SL. F1 SL frame is made of high modulus carbon monocoque hybrid nano technology and surface finishing carbon 3k; same solution and materials for the fork, with legs almost straight, weighing just 305 grams, while the frame has a weight said about 900 grams. The headstock, short and compact, bearing the classic has a diameter of 1 inch and 1/8 and joins the top tube and oblique with large areas of stiffness. The same top tube joins the seat tube with another area of reinforcement. The down tube, however, has smaller section and joins, without showy forms over-size the bottom bracket, well wrapped and joined the various tubes. The rear-stay has a good section, with tall blades that come together just above the rear wheel. The seat tube accepts seatpost diameter of 31.6 mm. The bike is then assembled with the new Shimano Dura Ace Di2 adopted in full, brakes, crank, sprocket, front and rear derailleur, chain, controls and pedals. Some athletes take the Dura Ace cranks with SRM power detector. The stem is 3T, model ARX Team aluminum, while the handlebar is always 3T, Rotundo Team model. The seatpost is always 3T, model Doric Team, the saddle is a Fi'zi:k, according to the different demands of the athlete. Bottle Cage is Tacx, while the cycle computer is the new Garmin 500. The wheels are Mavic, may vary depending on the preferences of the athlete and routes, see in the picture, light Cosmic Carbone Ultimate, complete with Vittoria Corsa Evo CX tubulars. A great bike for the components used, the rigidity of the frame and weight.
