Athletes of Team Katusha, for the time trials, using the bike Focus Izalco Chrono. Focus Izalco Chrono frame is made of high modulus carbon monocoque. The head tube is very short and is completed with a 3T fork, customized for your Focus. The oblique tube has the classic dimensions of over-size frames time trial/triathlon, while the top tube has an aero profile. The vertical pipe extends posteriorly with aerodynamic profile and is completed by a dedicated seatpost. Imposing the realization of the rear triangle with carbon fiber dropouts. The brakes are in the classic position. The bike is then assembled with the SRAM Red group, with controls, crank, sprocket, chain, brakes, front and rear derailleur. The wheels are Vision, with ceramic bearings and tubular Continental. Always Vision aerobar, while the saddle Prologo is, specific for time trial, the model Nago TTR. The pedals are Look Keo Carbon, but not in the specific version for the time trial bike, while the bottle cage Elite Time Trial Kit is the well-known, very aerodynamic. A well assembled bike, but starting to feel the weight of years, the airfoil is not as refined as competitors and the highest weight. A good bike, but far from the best interpretations of the category.
