The new model Fondriest R10 is placed under models TF1 and TF2 2.0, the substantial differences between the two top range is considerable and have led to a model with a purchase price more competitive. The new frame is a monocoque high modulus carbon 12K, but it has an aesthetic and a more classic profile of the tubes more traditional and less expensive to produce. The head tube is short and contains a tapered steering with bearings 1 inch ½ below and 1 inch 1/8 above. The oblique tube has a section contained and well coupled to the top tube, with a good sloping, slightly arched profile. The vertical tube has a seatpost by the classic measurement of 31.6 millimeters. The rear triangle has dropouts well-sized, chain stays have good section, while the seat stays are more finer. The frame is credited with a weight of 950 grams, not painted. The fork is full carbon with a model stems from the airfoil, and its weight is about 345 grams, still unpainted. The frame is available in six different sizes and three colour combinations. The bike is available in different assemblies and as a frame kit. In the version assembled Shimano Ultegra group is used to complete with controls, brakes, crank, sprocket, chain, front and rear derailleur. The standard wheels are Fulcrum Racing 5, complete with Michelin Lithion 2tires. Stems and handlebar are FSA, while the saddle is a Selle Italia SL XC Flow, the seatpost is signed Fondriest. The cost of the frame kit is about 1600 Euro, while the bike so he assembled a price of about 2900 Euro. A bike is not particularly innovative and revolutionary, but very real. It is located half way between the models of media-based medium-range and high-end ones. The frame is well made and the assembly is good, but it is also true that in the end, the final price is also close to other models of higher range, and some might opt for the latter choice that offers improved performance and quality, especially when you do not frequently change the bike. The price is still appropriate and proportionate to the quality of the model, which is directed towards those who are not valid models in the products of medium to low range, often suffer from a high mix of components for a competitive price. With little more you can find this quality model, which outperforms the competition, but is the product of good overall quality.
