FRW is currently the only Italian company to propose a model bike with 29" wheels, the Syrah. The new model is completely new since 7005 hydroformed aluminum frame with triple butted. The frame has some specific quotas for 29" wheels with a low center of gravity and a short head tube. Even the down tube and horizontal were studied with a particular conformation to better accommodate the fork and front wheel, without going to influence on the height of the bike. The tube has a sloping profile and accentuated joins almost directly to the rear. Large diameter of the tube and the well-designed bottom bracket. The rear stay is compact. This model does not want to compete with the bike 29" for mountain bike racing, but constitute a proposal for access and discovery to 29". This bike is offered with a blend of quality, but that depends on a final price he wants (and is) still competitive and suitable to meet the needs of all those who do not perform high-level mountain bike racing. The bike comes in two configurations: Shimano Deore/Alivio 9v and XT/SLX 10v. The bike, in both cases, take Tower Manitou fork with lockout. The steering is FSA, as the stem, the handlebar and seatpost, all aluminum. Bottle cage is made of aluminum and series with the bottle and pedals. The wheels are assembled with Shimano hubs, while tires are Aka Geax 29". The saddle is a Selle Italia Q-bik xc flow. The knobs are Ritchey. In the version Deore/Alivio group Alivio is adopted for the controls, the derailleur and the crankset, but the rear derailleur is XT and disc brakes Hayes Stroker Ryde. The XT/SLX, XT group is adopted for the rear ad front derailleur, the SLX group is applied to the crank and controls. The brakes are Hayes Prime Expert. The bike is offered in white only in four sizes. The XT/Alivio will be offered at a price of 1250 Euro, while the XT/SLX will cost 1699 Euro.
