On a warm August Saturday Claudio Brusi and his staff receive us at the FRW factory in Ravenna (Italy) to tell us about the new 2012 range. It's a small team, but close-knit and driven by healthy passion and desire to do well, that accept us in a tidy and well organized Company, much better than many Companies that we visited in the past. In offices, end up determining the final details of the 2012 range, some supplier is still lagging behind, but the range is already defined completely. Claudio itself makes us see the designs and projects from which were born the new bike. One year of work the has seen him firsthand exposure, before reorganizing the team, then selecting the best suppliers, then "currying" in having some technical advisers who had a little slow down its work. The result is a completely new range of bikes, but not just in graphics, the real leap in product quality, performance and price/quality ratio. An improvement involving the whole range Road and Mountain bike and that puts today's range of FRW proposals at the for quality/price ratio, with nothing to fear from competitors, especially Germans, as are already demonstrating the orders that come from network sale. All bikes are assembled in Italy and for some models the frame too is made in Italy. Standard across the range bell and reflectors to take the wheels, allowing it to be in compliance with the rules of the road and the new safety regulations. In all Road range group-set are adopted in full. New for 2012, the adoption of the Shimano Tiagra to 10v, Shimano Ultegra version Glossy Gray and Shimano Ultegra Di2, then the new Mavic wheels with dedicated tires. Important to note that the frames are not reversible between mechanical and electronic, or vice versa, since the characteristics of construction are different. This solution, more expensive, allows a more reliable and better frame rigidity and weight issues that are compromised in reversible versions. Road range models for the road are planned without pedals and bottle cage. In versions Napa and Sonoma, the customer can choose the group-set and the wheels. All models are equipped with Mavic or Shimano. The Mtb range has received a definite upgrade, the whole range is assembled only Shimano, even in this case, on top rang version the customer can choose the wheels. The main changes in the components for 2012 are the adoption of the groups Shimano XT: 10x2 and 10x3, Shimano Deore: 10x3; new Shimano Acera: 9x3, the inclusion of RockShox forks. All models are equipped with pedals.
