The new Giant Anthem X 29er proudly presents the new aluminum frame Athem X, suitably adapted to the new 29-inch wheels. The hydroformed aluminum frame, with the headset separately, the new Maestro rear suspension and standard Shimano bottom bracket with Press-Fit. The sloping frame is accentuated and the characteristic is the large section down tube and curved profile. The fork and rear suspension have a 100 mm travel. The shock is the Fox RP23 Boostvalve model, while the fork is the model Fox F29 RLC FIT. The bike is then assembled with Shimano XT Dyna-SYS 3x10 adopted for the crankset 24/32/42, 11/36 sprockets, controls, front and rear derailleur, chain. The disc brakes are Avid Elixir CR, 180 mm front and 160 mm rear. Stem, handlebar and seatpost are made of aluminum products from Giant and called Contact. The saddle is a Fi'zi:k Tundra. The wheels are assembled on Giant rims and hub DT Swiss for the rear wheel and hub Giant, with pin 15 mm for the front wheel. The tires are Maxxis Crossmark 2.1". A well-assembled bike, even if it would be preferable to adopt the brakes Shimano XT, however, very comfortable and competitive in the fastest routes, with wide curves and downhills, but always at high speed. On the close 29-inch wheels do not offer high performance, but at the top of the class and you are not far from a full 26-inch wheels. The declared weight of around 11.8kg is competitive and should not be far from reality as with the model we Athem X1 riletato 12kg, including the heavy pedals. A good bike for lovers of 29-inch wheels, looking for the ultimate comfort bike, and that in certain locations can be competitive even against the full 26-inch. The price of about Euro 3700 is competitive and commensurate with the quality of the bike.
