Giant has officially introduced the new TCR Advanced SL ISP model. As anticipated the new monocoque frame has been completely revised. It’s made from high modulus carbon fiber and has a claimed weight of 820 grams. New tapered headset with bearings 1 inch and ½ and 1 inch and ¼, solution called OverDrive2. Hence the new fork, which keeps the stems straight. The new headset has allowed an improvement stiffness by 40%, compared to the previous model headset. This has allowed an improvement of the stability, steering precision and speed in the entry of the curve. The rear triangle has a detector speed/cadence/power integrated, similar to what was done by Trek on the Madone 6 Series. All internal cable routing to the frame. The bottom bracket has traditional standard Press Fit. Confirmed the integrated seatpost. The new carbon fiber has allowed an improvement of the reliability of 14%, while the reduction in weight did not reduce the stiffness of the frame. New carbon dropouts, as well as other parts of the frame that previously were made of aluminum and are now carbon fiber. The frame kit in Italy will be priced around 3300 Euro.
