The frame Krakatoa is a new model by Guerciotti and positions, as price, above the famous Team Replica frame, used in recent seasons with the athletes of Team Diquigiovanni-Androni Giocattoli of Gianni Savio.

Same Krakatoa debuted during the Giro d'Italia, with Gilberto Simoni, and officially presented at Eurobike 2009. The new product, leaves the monocoque construction, to move to the pipes wrapped, so the weight increases by 40 grams, rising from 1050 grams model Team Replica to 1090 grams of Krakatoa. Whether the increase in weight is even modest, given that typically the change from a monocoque with a beam, with the same materials used, stood over 100 grams. The frame is made from Dedacciai. Is always Dedacciai fork RS Carbon. The frame has a series of steering with bearings from 1 inch and 1/2 below and one inch and 1/8 above. The tube has an aerodynamic profile and testing of integrated seatpost. The head tube is very short, as is the compact rear triangle. The bike can be built to measure and is available the version with Shimano Di2, with passage of internal cables. Version Campagnolo Record group is used in full and complete with stem and handlebar Deda Elementi Zero100, while the seatpost is always Deda, but the model Super Zero. The saddle is Selle Italia SLR, but are also standard Look Keo Carbon pedals. Elite is instead the bottle cage, model Custom Macia. For the wheels there is a wide range of choices, that influence the price, you have the Bora One, Bora Two, Fulcrum Racing Speed XLR, Fulcrum Racing Speed, Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR and Mavic Cosmic Carbone. In addition to the Records group, then, the Super Record is available, the Shimano Ultegra, Dura Ace and Dura Ace Di2. The pieces start from 5888 Euro Model Record with Mavic Cosmic Carbone to 7664 Euro model Record with wheels Bora Two. The frame kit, instead has a cost of 2680 Euro. In all cases the prices were good, especially in the bike assembled, as made with quality components. Kit frame is positioned at the level of other products not made in Italy, and well below similar products made in Italy. The weight of the frame is not content, but in line with the construction technology for chassis band, while a defect is greater devaluation objective of this bike compared to other most prestigious brands; problem nonexistent when you want to tender my bike for an extended period, but a penalty if you want to sell the bike after two years to switch to a more competitive model, at which point the initial savings could turn into a shed. The performance of the bike you should align with the best sector products to which this model is charged, however, 100 grams, at least, weighing more.
