After a year of testing come into production Kona E-Bike, presented at Eurobike last year, have continued development tests on the road to reach the market absolutely reliable. The E-Bike uses a front electric motor that is switched automatically by a sensor on the rear wheel, which activates the electric motor automatically, whenever it is needed. The batteries are Li-ion long-life rechargeable up to 700 cycles. Each charge cycle allows you to travel 30 km on average, so it is with a battery that can travel 21,000 km. Charging time of battery is full every 4 / 5 h. The engine has a peak performance of 600 Watts and a hint of 250 watts. The electric motor can operate under three different settings, selectable by the computer mounted on the handlebars: Power, Normal or Econ.
This autonomy is based on different modes selected:
Condition of the plain mode Power mode 30/35 Km
Condition of the plain normal mode mode 57/70 Km
Condition of the plain mode Econ mode over 85 km
Each bike is equipped with a software CD and a cable connection or change the various parameters according to personal needs. The methods used to choose will depend on several factors like the weight of the person who uses the luggage and the ground where it is used. The battery can be removed from the bicycle so that you can use the bike without support E-Bike.
