The RB1000 MCipollini since last year is the official bike of Team Farnese Vini - Neri Sottoli. The bikes MCipollini born in Italy, where the monocoque frame is made, assembly and design. Behind the idea of "Supermario", there is the group Diamant, owner of brands DMT (shoes) and Giordana (clothing), which developed the project and follows the technical and commercial development. The RB 1000 is a monocoque frame made of high modulus carbon T1000, as well as the fork, a project dedicated to the frame, everything is handmade in Italy. The frame has some very specific forms, now also taken from some other manufacturer (at least at the prototype stage), but not without some cause embarrassment and doubt on the choice, not of MCipollini, but who does not find anything better to do than copy competition. The frame has a tapered steering and head tube short and stiff with a visible rib reinforcement. The fork has straight legs and aerodynamic, with very large stems. The tube has a section over-size bed and a streamlined profile, partly following the front wheel. The bottom bracket adopts the standard BB30, while the horizontal pipe section has a complex and a slightly arched. The rear is very compact and the presence of carbon dropouts and over-sized tubes. Very large and inflexible is the zone of junction between the main triangle frame and rear triangle. Aerodynamic characteristic and the pipe, the first part follows the contour of the rear wheel and then goes on becoming integrated seatpost. The cable routing is internal, while the Shimano Di2 battery is placed under the bottom bracket. The frame has a declared weight of 1050 grams in size M. Seven sizes available. The bike Team Farnese Vini - Neri Sottoli then assembled with the Shimano Dura Ace Di2 adopted in full, with controls, brakes, crank, sprocket, chain, front and rear derailleur. The saddle is Selle Italia, in the photo you see the modollo SLR Team Edition of 140 grams. Stems and handlebar are Pro aluminum, while the micro carbon fiber seatpost is integrated to the frame. Elite bottle cage, while the pedals are Time I-click. The wheels Lightwheight are complemented by Veloflex tubulars. Thus assembled the bike reaches 6.6 kg without pedals and just above the UCI limit of 6.8 kg with pedals.
