The bike Merida O.Nine XT-D is the access to the wide range Merida O-Nine. The frame is made with a mix of carbon fiber with high modulus, ultra-high form and intermediate form, with the addition of nano particles, which compacts the surface of carbon fiber to make it more durable.

 

 

 

The frame is made of three different parts which are then joined together with the construction technique "tube to tube". The down tube has an inner core that stiffens and divides it into two parts. The series has the steering bearings 1 inch and 1/8, with a short head tube, but well proportioned; enhanced the sloping of the top tube, while the host pipe diameter of 27.2 mm seatpost. The rear triangle has a special shape called "Flex-Stay" which improves the ride comfort, made of pipes and a good section of the bridge above the rear wheel stiffness. The bike test is assembled with the group Shimano XT, used to the controls, the crankset (24-32-42), the sprocket (11-36), the gearbox and the front derailleur. The brakes are always Shimano (M596) with 180mm and 160mm discs. The fork is Fox Float 32 RL 100mm, fully adjustable. The wheels are assembled with Shimano Deore hubs and rims Merida, complete with Schwalbe tires. Stem, handlebar and seatpost Merida are in aluminium, the saddle is Selle Italia XC SL. Also standard Shimano M520 pedals. Assembled without pedals the bike has a weight of 10.6 kg, as detected with our instrumentation.
