Entry level MTB 29er comparison - 8th Part - Merida Big Nine TFS 500-5

 

 

 

The Merida Big Nine frame incorporates the O Nine general forms, with hydroformed tubes and a compact geometry. The fork is Suntour XCR-RL, while the bike is assembled with the 3x10 Deore group, used to the commands, 42-32-24 crankset, the sprocket 11-36, the rear and the front derailleur. The brakes are Shimano always, the chain is KMC. Standard pedals. The wheels are mounted on wheels Shimano hubs and Merida rims. Merida always the saddle, seat post, the stem and the handlebar. So assembled, the bike is priced at approximately 990 Euro. A very good bike, with a mix of content components. Good for the adoption of the new Shimano Deore 3x10. Valid the rest of the components. A great bike, even in relation to the list price.
