We have already analyzed in the past the frame Orbea Orca Gold. Compared to the previous Orca frame is completely new, with different profiles and pipes, new high modulus carbon fiber, new rear triangle and new geometries. This allowed a weight saving of 14% compared to the previous Orca. The down tube is large and with a set of edges of the housing and tightening the cables, which remains outside the frame, but built the same, with the cables that run in a special recess and covered in a Teflon sheath. This reduces friction and improves the fluidity of the controls. Oversized bottom bracket, with the BB30 standard. The top tube has an angular section and joins the seat tube junction with a wide enough. The seat tube follows the contour of the rear wheel and then continues with an aerodynamic profile, with a dedicated seat post with saddle Selle Italia SLR Monolink. The rear triangle is compact and highly aerodynamic profile, the dropouts are carbon and are well-sized tubes. The tapered headset have bearings and 1 inch 1/2 and 1 inch and 1/8, with a dedicated fork, with the stems from the airfoil. Six sizes available. The bike is then assembled with Dura Ace group full used, with commands, brakes, crank, sprocket, chain, front and rear derailleur. Always Shimano Dura Ace wheels C35, 35 mm medium-profile, complete with Michelin Pro3 Race clinchers. Still Dura Ace pedals, while the bottle cage is not standard. Stem and handlebar are made of carbon fiber Orbea signed. So assembled, without pedals, the bike has a weight of 6.9 kg in size 53. Four colours combinations available, is also available in the seatpost Dualink that allows the mounting of the normal saddle. In addition to this extensive customization is always possible via the "My Orbea".
