Valle de Tena is situated in the north of the Spanish Pyrenees, not far from Huesca and easy to reach from Zaragoza or Pamplona. The Valle de Tena is joined to France by Col du Portalet and fits within the group of the Pyrenees. Among the Valle de Tena there are many ski resorts and them have Formigal and Panticosa. The two locations are very close together, Formigal ski resort with all the services and from which different cable cars to reach the highest peaks, was the basis of the submission Orbea Occam; Panticosa, another ski resort and was the basis for the first test ride. Panticosa has, in addition to all the services and facilities for winter sports, an excellent and great bike park. Starting from the cable car Panticosa you reach 2000 meters Petrosos (Mirador de Panticosa) from which five paths Trail-Freeride-Downhill with different levels of difficulty, all paths in Panticosa report. Also from Panticosa, Magas start reaching other three routes with different difficulty Down Hill. Still, there are two paths always Panticosa Freeride for about 35km of hiking into the valley, always starts and finishes in Panticosa. Same opportunities are offered from Formigal, with three very different paths, and scenic, from what we have been told, the simplest and pedals, Formigal and Panticosa are close together, so you can take advantage of all the various combinations of paths.
