Pinarello has released technical details of the new model Dogma 2. The main technical characteristics: the Onda FPX fork, compared to the previous model, a reduction of ribs to affect air flow and a "tail" rear that eliminates turbulence at the juncture with the chassis offering more regular flows throughout the right side of the frame, compensating for the lateral rigidity due to a new kind of layering of carbon. The new tapered headset, range from 1"1/8-1"¼ to 1"1/8-1"½, improves the rigidity, with the front of which is increased by 6%, but thanks to more effective provision the ribs of the tube and the vertical axis, which were joined together, can increase the stiffness in braking by 19%, reducing the aerodynamic impact of 10%. The asymmetric profile of the frame was to the extreme, the top tube is more shifted to the right (the rib on the right side is continuous, while that on the left side is broken). This greater asymmetry leads to a better symmetry of the ride, increased by 6%. The rear triangle has been modified by the reduction of some ribs and an increase in the carbon layers. Changed the cables, with a low aerodynamic impact of 2%. A removable plate is placed grommets on the bottom bracket and integrated into the frame and also the entrance and exit of the cable is placed flush with the chassis. For those who use the electronic gear is provided a battery holder attached directly to the frame, with the passage of cabling, avoiding additional clamps. The weight of the raw frame 54 is reduced to the extent of 30g. compared to the previous frame 60.1 Dogma thus reaching to touch the 920gr., while the aerodynamic impact of the front (and steerer) Dogma2 frame has been reduced by 6% compared to the same area of the frame 60.1 Dogma.
