The new Ridley Noah IBS, does not replace Noah the well-known, but is accompanied by an evolution of the concept of extremism and aero bike. The main novelty of the Ridley Noah IBS is the realization of the brake "Integrated Brake System" patented. The new braking system is perfectly integrated into the frame allowing a lower absorption of watts at high speeds, as demonstrated in studies performed in a wind tunnel. The new braking system uses the elasticity of carbon fiber for the construction of the two arms of the brake assembly, similar to the v-brake for MTB. In this way the two branches follow the profile of the fork tubes and high rear triangle. The elasticity of carbon fiber allows the body brake to remain open. In doing so, then decreases drastically the weight of the brake assembly itself and the need for maintenance, since it becomes an integral and immovable frame. The cables and brake pads are still traditional. In addition to the more aerodynamic and less weight to the new brake system provides increased modulation, reduce travel of brake and greater stopping power. The system has already been tested by the athletes of the team Vacansoleil and the bike official debut at the upcoming Tour de France. The new frame Noah IBS, however, retains many of the features that made the famous Noah: maximum stiffness and aerodynamic profile. Unfortunately for the moment we can not say more.
