Prof. bikes: Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL2 Team Saxo Bank

Team Saxo Bank has abandoned Cervelo to move to Specialized frames. The frame S-Works Tarmac SL2 is the same used by the team Quick Step and regularly for sale. A carbon fiber monocoque frame, with a tube of large size, a dinghy steering very short range and with the integrated steering with differential bearings from 1 inch and 1/8 inch and 1/2. The sheaths of tall rear are very slender and are separated until the junction with the vertical and horizontal tube. The box of the bottom bracket is well designed. The top tube is flattened and larger near the boat steering. The fork is monocoque. The bike is then assembled with the Shimano Dura Ace group, composed of brakes, controls, front and rear derailleur, chain and sprockets. The crank is Specialized, more than 100 grams lighter and more rigid than the Dura Ace model. Specialized is always the stem aluminium, while the handlebar is the FSA, model Energy. The seatpost is the widespread FSA K-Force Carbon, while saddles are Prologo, in different models selected by the athletes. The bottle cage are popular Tacx. Ciclocomputer are Sigma. The wheels are Zipp, chosen according to the demands of athletes and the route of the race. The tubolars are Specialized. The pedals are Speedplay. In the photos are still known as the team takes the Dura Ace group 2008, not having yet received the new 2009 model when the photo was done (April 2009).
