The Astana team, as teams SaxoBank and HTC - High Road, use the Shiv Specialized bike for time trials. We have already talked about the Specialized frame Shiv, here we look at how the Astana team has completed the bike. It always used to group Sram Red complete with controls, chain, sprocket, front and rear derailleur. The Specialized crankset is irrelevant SRM power and the pedals are Look Keo Carbon Blade is not the specific model for the time trial bike. The wheels are Corima with the classic lenticular rear and the beautiful wheel three-spoke carbon front. The tubes are Specialized. The bottle cage is a classic Tacx, while the saddle is a Selle Italia, most athletes use the normal Team Edition, you can see a picture with an insert adapted carbon-slip, no athlete uses specific riding time trials. Overall still a very good bike, thanks to the frame Specialized Shiv and wheels Corima; some detail, however, leaves much to be desired. The pedals are not used in the specific version for the time trial, there is no aero bottle cage, and a specific saddle. Again the mechanics perfectly polished chain and sprocket. A nice bike, one of the best, but slightly lower than that adopted by Team SaxoBank.
