SaxoBank team uses Specialized Shiv bike for time trials. The frame is carbon fiber high modulus FACT 10r and is the result of a long study aerodynamics. The fork has straight stems and forks made of carbon fiber, the short head tube has an aerodynamic profile and a tapered headset, with bearings 1 inch above and 1 inch and 1/8 below. Well proportioned, very stiff, the area of the tube. The top tube is perfectly straight, flat and wide. The oblique tube has an aero section and over-size. Compact rear triangle, with forks and alloy tubes very short and well designed. The seat tube has an aero profile and dedicated seatposts. Always Specialized and aerobics and the crank, fitted with SRM power meter. The saddles are Prologo Nago TTR or Specialized personalized, but still similar to TTR Prologuo. The group has adopted the Sram Red, with controls, sprocket, chain, front and rear derailleur. The brakes are always Specialized S-Works Aero. The pedals are Speedplay, while the wheels are choices in the Zipp catalog. Of note is polished chain and sprocket, for maximum smoothness. One of the best bike for time trials, very aerodynamic, stiff and light.
