The new 2012 Specialized Amira has been completely revised. The monocoque frame is given a new type of carbon 11r, the best mechanical properties and now the same as that used on the S-Works Tarmac. The headset has tapered bearings 1 inch 1/8 inch above and 1 and 3/8 below. The new internal cable, compatible with Shimano Di2. The seatpost have a 27.2 mm diameter. New section of the down tube and top tube, and these changes together with the new type of carbon fiber have allowed an improvement in stiffness of 27%. Also new is the rear triangle, more compact and with carbon dropouts. Also new fork, with tubes straight and more section. Yet again OSBB BB30 bottom bracket, with relative Specialized S-Works crankset. The bike will be offered in versions Basic, Elite, Comp, Pro and S-Works; in five sizes: 44, 48, 51, 54, 56.
