Astana Team is another of those teams that has changed its technical equipment through the Specialized bike. All athletes have the team has available the new Tarmac SL3, while little differences exist between the bike of the captain Vinokourov and other mates. The weight of the frame content and the adoption of the SRAM Red group (the group lightest on the market) has prevented the team from using highly sophisticated components to achieve the minimum weight allowed. Pedals aside, the bike is basically Aleksandr equal to that of team-mates, with the exception of the seat and fold, each athlete will choose based on their own preferences.
