 We have made direct comparison of women's shoes so far tested here the differences and ratings

 

After we analyzed all the shoes to a far proven it's time to say what is really the best. Each company has decided independently what to send, joined Diadora, DMT, Gaerne, Mavic, Sidi, Spiuk and Vittoria Shoes.

Comment: All the shoes are well made, but highlight Sidi, Gaerne and Vittoria, which together are the best realized. Sidi is a perfect shoe and very high quality. Nearby places Gaerne, just below, because evidence was not present in the sample in the carbon sole. Vittoria, vice versa, has no specific ergonomic for women. Mavic very close, and with Xena, has created a very light shoe with carbon sole and specific for women is lower than any particular competitor, but it is not fundamental issues. DMT was also well made, but it is a specific model for women, Diadora and in some places, not in sight, is of less refined competitors. Spiuk, is the simplest and least refined of the group, although well done.

Comment: shoes from the smaller weight are the DMT, which are followed by Mavic and Sidi, considering that the ratchet has a weight almost as DMT. Below Gaerne and Vittoria, even if they experience a certain detachment from the first. Good weight Spiuk, while closing Diadora, the heavier the lot.

Comments: the reference points for positioning of the cleat allows for easier installation and replacement of same. The most practical are those places because Diadora outside and very easily seen with any type of cleat, then that DMT is firmly ingrained in detail a wide scale and Mavic whose points are external and visible. Sidi has several landmarks, all accurate, but places a bit 'too much toward the inside of the shoe, the same considerations for Gaerne. Vittoria has some points well made but too spaced, accurate yes, but not very extensive. Spiuk has no benchmark.

Comment: the term convenience we have considered the ease of fit, the shoe closure of its openness and the possibilities of regulating the same bike closure. In this comparison DMT easily strap better because the three are the most practical to use and regular bike and the fit of the shoe is perfect. Following Vittoria with good locking truly practical and effective, on a par with Sidi, with a ratchet very effective. Diadora then, she has a ratchet effective, as substantially equivalent to straps and Gaerne. Mavic has a sliding ratchet less of rivals, the rest is perfect. Spiuk has a good seal, but is slightly less effective in comparison to flow, to competitors.

Comment: this trial we evaluated the comfort over long distances, taking into account the ventilation of the shoe and the interior. The best from this point of view is that the shoe Gaerne disconnects cleanly opponents. Interior has a soft and very well kept and comfortable interior, while not the sole areata do not sweat excessively and drilling of the upper effective. Follows Diadora, which are less effective ventilation. And then follow Mavic, Sidi; Sidi has internal soft like the upper, but an imperfect ventilation, Mavic and a bit more Spartan interior, still soft, but has a good foot ventilation. The first 4 are the only shoes specifically for women and feels the difference. Victory follows with a good general comfort, due in particular to interiors and excellent ventilation. DMT tongue is a rigid part that could be annoying, even if ventilation is good, often trial for Spiuk.

Comment: Mavic Xena, while not ventilated sole, is that the foot to breathe better. Vittoria also good, that benefits from the ventilated sole. Below but spaced Spiuk and DMT, which allow the foot to get a good sweat and then the Gaerne perforated upper is effective. Near Sidi and Diadora; Gaerne are well ventilated, but lower than competitors.

Comment: All the shoes keep your feet firmly, but the best are undoubtedly Gaerne and Sidi, better able to stop the foot inside the shoe. Closely Mavic, which is just below by the upper lighter and airy. Then Vittoria, who still hangs right foot and then Diadora negatively impacted by a soft upper. Spiuk just leaves more free foot like that DMT is penalized by the assence ratchet that allows you to make better stop right shoe and the foot. Again the specific models for women are superior because their best ergonomics allows your foot will do better adhere to the shoe.

Comment: this test is far exceeded all the shoes. The best containment and heel Mavic Xena the only shoe that has a special SITEMA to stop the heel. Below Gaerne and Sidi, thanks to the excellent shape of shoe can firmly retain the whole foot, heel included. Victory is near, while Diadora pays the conformation of a heel of the shoe softer and more comfortable than competitors. DMT and Spiuk, although different, are equal, stop right foot, but less well in comparison with the rivals.

Comment: Again all the shoes have significant benefits, most still are those with rigid carbon sole, Mavic, DMT, Sidi and Vittoria. Then Spiuk that has a sole mixed (plastic and fiberglass) and then Diadora and Gaerne, who have the sole more flexible of the lot.

Comment: uphill need a lightweight shoe, well ventilated and retain good foot, the best in this test was the Mavic, for weight, ventilation and containment of the foot, followed by Sidi, very light and with an excellent containment foot and DMT shoes lighter. Below then, Vittoria, just penalized by weight higher than competitors. So we have Spiuk, penalized by the weight and the sole is not very strict and finally Diadora and Gaerne which are penalized by not very stiff soles, also in comparison with its competitors.

Comments: plain, we evaluated what are the shoes that allow for a longer good and round ride, then the whole containment of the foot and the rigidity of the sole. At the top we have Mavic and Sidi, because their foot is firmly and their wont be able to pass good all the power to the pedals. Following Vittoria, which still a very profitable ride and then Spiuk and DMT that have rigid soles and good containment of the foot, although less rivals. Gaerne has better containment of the foot, but in our version is affected by the sole, same goes for Diadora.

Comment: sprint is better than containment of the foot, lightness and rigidity of the shoe sole. The Mavic are those that best blend all these features, followed closely by Sidi. Then comes Vittoria and DMT, which in this test suffers from the lack of closure ratchet then Spiuk that has good performance. Finally Gaerne and Diadora, which suffer from the soles, and have a good containment of the foot, especially Gaerne.

Comment: In this test, we evaluated how they act out their shoes in a tourist on a bike. Consideration was then, the comfort, the possibility of walking, the ventilation, the ability to close and open shoes with ease, etc.. The best of the lot are the Gaerne, seems not to wear, a really good behaviour in all conditions. Closely follow Diadora, ideal for cycling. Sidi remotely, which in this case suffers from the stiff soles, like Mavic and Spiuk. Vittoria is affected by the slippery hard sole and the cleat, such as DMT.

Comment: very different prices and the price can not be judged without considering the place of production of the shoe. Gaerne, the overall quality of the product has a very competitive price. Spiuk far, that has no special finish, but it is the cheapest of the group. Diadora has a competitive price, but is not made in Italy. Sidi very expensive, though true, quality and performance, the money list. Same considerations for Vittoria, though made in Italy and with good finishes. Cheaper Mavic however, is not made in Italy, as DMT.

Comments: overall the Mavic Xena were the best, because they have no real weaknesses and are very competitive in all conditions. Follow very closely the Sidi. The two shoes are almost equivalent in performance and to evaluate carefully the merits and defects to choose which model is most suitable for specific use. Gaerne third place, the best ever for comfort, but that is not a carbon sole, has penalized in our tests. Vittoria follows that more than for the overall performance of the product has been penalized by not being a specific model for women, while remaining behind rivals when the comparative man was always in front. DMT for the same considerations apply to Vittoria, while Diadora was, as Gaerne, penalized in our test, the type of shoe, which focuses on comfort than the pure performance. Finally Spiuk offering excellent performance in comparison to the cost, but the specific tests is often behind their competitors, although more than twice the cost. Finally we can not stress that the best performance they have emerged from specific shoes for ergonomics that allow women to have more comfort, a foot more firmly inside the shoe and ultimately better overall performance.
