The Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support has been developed by exploiting the experience accumulated in the Motocross, and transfers it to Down Hill. Its structure, combined with the use of the helmet, specifically designed for the DH, prevents, or reduces, dangerous hyper extension of the neck and severe spinal injuries, especially when used in combination with other protective clothing. The Bionic Neck Support is made of PU tested to maintain its mechanical properties at different temperatures (hot or cold). The inside is lined with EVA material, high-density foam, which has a great capacity to absorb shocks. It's provided a mobile pivot, for the rapid opening, in case of accident, while the front end is a lever. A system called X-Strap System ensures that the Bionic Neck Support, do not move, is available as an option, an additional kit, called A-Strap System for those who prefer a different hardware. Available only in white/black, in sizes S, M, L, XL. In size L has a weight of 1 kg, as observed with our instrumentation.

The road test
