After last year we tested the Briko Mustang Carbon version, this time we deal with the normal version. The helmet has two pads, one with anti-insect net, peak by mountain bike and helmet bag. The housing is made with In-Moulding technology, which allows simultaneous fusion of a polycarbonate shell and an EPS (expanded polystyrene sintered). The Mustang has 24 vents, and range is always below the throat. The control system is called "Roll racing fit", adjustable in height. Available colors are red, silver and yellow. Two sizes: M (54/58 cm) L (59/61 cm). The helmet has dual accreditation, European and American. The weight in size M, we found, is gr. 260.

The road test

The helmet Mustang is well done, in this version, then the cap is better achieved and there are no burrs between the carbon and the polycarbonate. Always practical and effective control system, easy to use even in the saddle. Well made the color surface, and positive is the adoption of the visor from Mtb, anti-insect net and helmet bag. The effective system of regulation that makes you able to adjust the helmet so that it remains firmly on the head is for use in road bike or mtb. Good interior and quality padding, even if does not reach the optimal levels of certain high-end helmets. As the ventilation is good, even more effective than other products that look better on paper. Again, however, some high-end products can do better, but are also more expensive. Excellent dual approval, which demonstrates the validity of the shell, which still surrounds of the head and covers a large area, unlike other product for weight reduction also reduces the surface of the helmet. Equally good weight, minimum distance from records of the category, is a happy medium. Is a good helmet with good finishing, good ventilation and a complete set of equipment. Therefore has no particular defect, not a helmet top range with suluzioni refined or innovative, but it is a safe product and offered at a fair price: 85 Euro.
