The new Diadora Proracer 2.0 is the evolution of past Proracer Carbon. From the first version we are dealing with a model similar to aesthetics, but deeply reviewed in detail. New is the sole all-carbon fiber, equipped with new and larger ventilation holes and a new set of benchmarks for the positioning of the cleats. New and heel, top and rubber anti-skid, now interchangeable, which adds another heel tip to better protect the sole. Confirmed sockliner, anatomical and perforated so as to improve the ventilation of the foot. The upper is microfiber, a material called D Skin, provided treatment to sanitize the inside. New heel thermoformed material, more rigid outside, but seems to play in soft tissue inside the shoe. Always three straps, the first equipped with Velcro, the second with velcro and locking Quick Adjustment and third with stepless ratchet. Quick Adjustment System allows rapid closure of strap, partly lined with silicon, and a better sealing of the closure itself, always coupled with velcro at the bottom. The strap ratchet has two adjustments because you can place on three different points, allowing you to find the best possible position, so that once pulled well remain at the center of the instep. The tongue is padded and provided with passages for air. The shoes are available in sizes ranging from 37 to 47 including half sizes and in black or white. The size 42 has a weight of 300 grams (a shoe), as detected with our instrumentation.

Road test

New shoes Diadora Proracer 2.0 are a nice evolution of the previous model. Done right, albeit not to the attention to details of other products, the shoe is remarkable for the good of the upper, shiny and soft, both outside and inside. Beautiful new full carbon sole and well made the air passages. Excellent reference points for the positioning of the cleat, and made clear so that any type of cleats are actually exploitable. Very well-heeled interchangeable in rubber that adheres well to the ground and higher than average, so it's impossible to spoil the sole. Excellent also the weight reduction compared to the previous model, with a weight that is now approaching the most content ever. Good the fit perfect and comfortable interior and perfect, even closure, with a ratchet easily maneuverable, whether by bike, while the Quick Adjustment is more difficult to use, especially on bike, even if it ensures a good closure. With the shoes tightly sealed and comfort remains high. On the move to appreciate the effectiveness of ventilation of the shoe, rather than excellent, especially the plantar and good rigidity of the sole, clear improvement over the previous model and now at the level of the best competitors in the industry. Good containment of the foot, which remains strong even without tightening too much cintini, improving ride comfort. Who powerful workout will feel round and small movements of the heel, which emerge in the strong phases of tension and can be removed very well holding the shoe, but going to get worse comfort. Also the content side of the foot could be better, but in this case only the most powerful sprinters will complain about that. These are small sacrifices that are being rewarded with a comfortable long-distance high-level and easier to stop giving up some comfort and squeezing my shoe. The excellent rigidity combined with the equally good containment of the sole of the foot enables an optimal power transfer and increasingly profitable in all conditions. Then a shoe that combines the best opposing needs of a shoe that holds the most rigid and the foot, with the need to have a high level of comfort over long distances. Meets therefore fully the athlete to the rigidity of the sole and effective containment of the foot, but also tourists, for ventilation and comfort. A shoes without obvious flaws. Unfortunately the price promises high, around 279 Euro, which is proportional to its characteristics, it is true, but since it is not made in Italy we would have expected a more competitive price.
